Gender Neutral Washroom Hunts! (Thursdays)

***These events are taking place on territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, sel̓íl̓witulh, and Stó:lō nations.***

More washroom hunts! Every Thursday, starting at 1:00pm, we'll be doing gender neutral washroom hunts around various areas of SFU. We're meeting in the Out On Campus lounge (for the first one at least), and we'll be checking out the location, accessibility and cleanliness of the washrooms on campus. We need volunteers to help us cover a larger area, so if you're able to do so, we'd love to have your help! If you can't make it out this time but still want to help, don't worry! We're going to try and do a scan every Thursday until all areas of SFU have been scanned.

Registration is not required but encouraged. To register, go here.

If you have any questions or concerns, email the Trans and Gender Diversity Project Worker Brianna at transguide@sfss.ca.

Accessibility Info:

Since the event will not be taking place at Out On Campus, we cannot guarantee that the places we check will be scent free or tree nut & peanut free, but we ask that people involved with the scan do not wear any fragrances or have peanut products with them. Information about the scan will be given verbally and also available in a written format. If there is need for another form for the information to take (such as an ASL interpreter), let us know and we will do our best to do that.

This event requires movement around different areas of campus. It may also require speaking with secretaries or receptionists to be let into certain offices or departments, though doing so is not a requirement of being a part of the scan.
